Youth Explosion
JUNE 27—New Life Family Worship Center, 1301 Davis Ave., North Side, will host its Youth Explosion 2014. The theme for the three-day event will be ‘Ignite the Fire.’ The guest speaker will be Minister Renelle Johnson. There will be mime, praise and worship, soloists and more, along with discussions on topics such as Why Should I Get Married? Hell is for Real, and Taking Arts and Music to the Next Level. Friendship Luncheon
JUNE 28—New Birth Baptist Church, 406 W. Grant St., Duquesne, will host its Friendship Luncheon from 11 a.m.-1 p.m. Every fourth Saturday of the month, members of New Birth invite the community from the tri-state area to a delicious lunch, a clothing giveaway for the needy and an enlightening discussion. HIV Testing Event
JUNE 28—The Community Partners for HIV Prevention and Zion Baptist Church, 1300 Locust St., McKeesport, will host its National HIV Testing Day Event from 12-3 p.m. The theme is “Take he Test-Take Control, Engaging Youth Voices in HIV.” The afternoon will include a word from keynote speaker Trisha Godson, Austin Davis as the master of ceremonies, free confidential testing and a light lunch to follow. JUNE 28—Lifeline Community Outreach & Love Fellowship Church will host the 2014 Outdoor Community Festival at 1 p.m. at 85 Universal Rd., Penn Hills. Pastoral Anniversary
JUNE 29—Jerusalem Baptist Church, 123 Steuben St., Pittsburgh, will host the 4th Pastoral Anniversary Celebration at 11 a.m. This is to celebrate the service and dedication of Pastor Theodore E. Pugh. The guest preacher will be Rev. Melvin Jackson of Ebenezer Baptist Church, followed by Rev. Dr. W. David Lee, of Sixth Mt.
