This week’s column will open with a series of statements that will afford the readers a chance to evaluate themselves. The overwhelming majority of the statements you will certainly be familiar with as follows.

“If I had the position or opportunity you know what I would have said.”

“Of course I get upset on my job, but I just keep my mouth shut.”

“You need to realize that I have a family to provide for and I can’t afford to jeopardize their welfare.”

“I need a few more years to make pension and I definitely need my insurance.”

“If I challenged the bosses no matter how wrong they are, no one would support me, and I would be standing alone.”

“All politicians, White and Black, are liars and can’t be trusted, all they want is your vote. I would never be a politician.”

“The main reason I don’t attend church is that all preachers are liars.”
