PITTSBURGH, PA – After a brief foot pursuit, the Pittsburgh Bureau of Police arrested a male actor believed to be connected with three West End robberies.
Shortly after midnight, Zone 3 Officers were dispatched to a CoGo’s convenience store at the intersection of Virginia Avenue and Bertha Street for an armed robbery. Responding units encountered the suspect and a foot pursuit followed. With the help of a K-9 Officer, the actor was located, subdued, and arrested.
He was discovered to be carrying a stolen pistol and was in possession of seven bags of suspected Heroin.
The actor, identified as 19-year-old Tyler Sieg of Beltzhoover, was taken to Mercy Hospital where he was treated for a dog bite to his right arm. He was then transported to police headquarters where he was questioned about two other CoGo’s robberies in the area on May 1 at 4:46 a.m. on Bailey Avenue and another at 11:55 p.m. the same day on Virginia Avenue. As a result of the investigation, Sieg will also be charged with those two robberies.
Sieg’s vehicle was recovered and all of the stolen property from the previous robberies was still inside.
He is in Allegheny County Jail on armed robbery charges.
