POW, WHAM, ZONK!! On March 22, at the Homewood Coliseum, superheroes, heroines and villains collided on the dance floor while Nick Nice provided the soundtrack for the annual Omega Mardi Gras dance party, brought to you by the Brothers of Omega Psi Phi Fraternity Inc., Iota Phi Chapter. Batman, Batwoman, Thunderstorm, Clark Kent and Wonder Woman were spotted in the crowd of hundreds.

The Southern Comfort Band performed New Orleans style music in a separate room, while Chef Mike of Win10 made samples of authentic New Orleans cuisine. Costumes were encouraged and the event seems like it is even more fun when you wear a costume.  Some organizations dress as a group or decorate their tables. The AKA’s stood out in their green capes, the United Rays Corvette Club went for a superhero theme, and the Deltas and the Zeta’s also had tables.

The Que Mardi Gras is one of the major fundraisers for the many charitable programs on the Omega Psi Phi agenda.
