Business Planning Seminar
APRIL 9—The University of Pittsburgh’s Institute for Entrepreneurial Excellence will host Innovation and Planning Throughout the Chapters/Generations of Your Business from 7:30-10:30 a.m. at the Duquesne Club, 325 6th Ave., Downtown. This program will teach participants how to effectively create a solid plan for the future, while keeping focus on current opportunities. The discussion will be led by Sheetz President and CEO Joe Sheetz and Ann Dugan, founder of the Institute for Entrepreneurial Excellence. Registration is required. Social Media Planning
APRIL 10—The Robert Morris University Bayer Center for Nonprofit Management will host Social Media Planning and Strategy from 9 a.m.-4 p.m. at 339 Sixth Ave., Downtown. Attendees will learn what one should consider before getting their nonprofit started in the social media realm, what to expect afterwards and how to keep the ball rolling. Business Leaders Breakfast
APRIL 11—The Chatham University Center for Women’s Entrepreneurship will host its Women Business Leaders Breakfast Series from 7:30-9:30 a.m. at James Laughlin Music Hall, Woodland Rd., Shadyside. The topic to be discussed will be “Successful Serial Entrepreneurship in Pittsburgh: One Woman’s Extraordinary Path” from guest speaker Mary Del Brady, proprietor of Mansions on Fifth Hotel and chairperson and CEO of Wellbridge Health Inc. Each month the series will feature prominent regional women business leaders speaking on a variety of progressive interactive presentations. Entrepreneurship Miniseries
APRIL 17—The Carnegie Library of Pittsburgh will host its Entrepreneurship Miniseries from 6:30-7:45 p.m. at the Squirrel Hill branch, 5801 Forbes Ave., Squirrel Hill. For three sessions, a business expert will be on hand to discuss issues facing today’s entrepreneurs. This evening’s topic is “Business Basics and You.” Patricia Sallie will facilitate this business workshop for anyone interested in starting their own business or taking their idea to the next level.
