PITTSBURGH (AP) – A 17-year-old Pittsburgh youth has died after being shot in the head.
The Allegheny County Medical Examiner’s office says that 17-year-old Tymere Pryor was pronounced dead at 3:55 a.m. Saturday at UPMC Presbyterian hospital.
Pittsburgh police spokeswoman Sonya Toler says authorities received a 911 call at 9:30 p.m. on Friday reporting a young man lying unresponsive on steps in the Hill District.
The victim had blood coming out of his mouth and the back of his head. EMS transported the victim to UPMC Presbyterian where medical personnel determined he had a gunshot wound in the back of his head.
Police are investigating and no arrests have been made.
