PITTSBURGH (AP) – The Allegheny County medical examiner’s office has identified two men found fatally shot inside a sport-utility vehicle that was found crashed into the rear of a church.
The dead men are 36-year-old Jamarow Trowery and 18-year-old Rashad Freeman. Trowery had recently lived in Pittsburgh and two nearby suburbs, Penn Hills and Wilkinsburg. Freeman was from another suburb, Verona.
Police say officers and paramedics found the men dead at the scene behind the Radiant Life Alliance Church in the city’s Garfield section, just before 11 p.m. Tuesday.
Trowery had two weapons-related convictions, including a 2007 case in which he shot and mutilated a dog. Freeman was awaiting a preliminary hearing next month on drug and weapons charges.
Police didn’t immediately name or charge any suspects Wednesday.
