Overtime 3-12-14…Steve McQueen???

:10 Okay, for all you so called know-it-alls out there, you realize that the Steve McQueen that directed “12 Years a Slave” is a Brother and not the guy from the Magnificent Seven.  NO-YOU-DID-NOT-KNOW…NO – YOU – DIDN’T!

:09 You and I both know that my comment last week about Jameis Winston leading FSU to another title should have been baseball, not basketball. That was not my mistake. Blame it on management. I know what I am talking about…most of the time!

:08 “Smokin’ Jim” Frazier had it right and I told you two weeks ago, New Castle is nearly perfect, and winning three WPIAL titles in a row is no small task.  And keep your eyes on Malik Hooker. He’s going to be a major football star in the very near future.

:07 Speaking of nearly perfect, the Obama girls team continued its run for City League dominance.  Another title on the hook.  Keep up the good work ladies.

:06 The time is here again.  All call for tryouts for “The Champions” High School All-Star Basketball Classic (formerly the Kenny Durrett Classic) coming up Sunday, April 13th at a gym to be announced. High school senior boys and girls.  To try out, call the Champions at 412-628-4856.

:05 Your Pittsburgh Pirates are raising that Jolly Roger early and often and they are for real. The skipper says they can win it all.  Hey, you gotta believe!

:04 Keep the noise loud.  Retire Sam Clancy’s uniform at “The Pete.” Who knows, it might stop the losing streak.  If anybody can…“Sam Bam” can.

:03  Keep calling all the other names. LeBron and them.  Remember this, “Kareem” had three NCAA titles and six NBA titles and is the all-time leading scorer.  C’mon man!

:02 Pitt’s not having a spring game. Who cares?  Pitt needs to worry about winning the fall games!

:01 Aaron Donald is all they say he is. He will be a great NFL player. More later.

:00 Mark your calendar to be at the Rivers Casino, Saturday, March 29 for the Super Steelers Gala with Mel Blount, J.T. Thomas, Dwayne Woodruff, Robin Cole, Louis Lipps, Randy Grossman, Andy Russell and Mike Wagner. Free parking, cash bar, complimentary hors d’oeuvres, jazz band and a million dollars worth of fun. For information call 412-628-4856.
