Authorities have issued an arrest warrant and are looking for a second suspect in the shooting death of the first homicide, and first Black-on-Black homicide, in Allegheny County for 2014.

As of this publication’s deadline, authorities are still on the look out for 20-year-old Paul Sanders, who is believed to frequent Wilkinsburg and Point Breeze. Sanders, along with Jaron Young, 18, of Penn Hills, are accused of shooting Imani Porter in the parking lot of the Waterfront Steak ‘n Shake after an apparent drug deal gone bad.

It’s believed that Porter, 20, of Point Breeze, was meeting the two to sell them heroin, when the two pulled out guns and attempted to rob him. He was found shot in the head in the driver’s seat of his vehicle and was taken to a local hospital where he later died.

Porter is the uncle of rapper and Pittsburgh native Wiz Khalifa. After hearing about the shooting, Wiz Khalifa tweeted, “My uncle was younger and more level headed than all of us. I would have never seen this happening in a million years.”

The Pittsburgh Post-Gazette reported that Porter was on probation for a 2011 case involving drugs.
Sanders and Young, who turned himself in and will be charged as an adult, are charged with homicide, robbery and conspiracy.

Anyone with information on the whereabouts of Sanders or the investigation is asked to call Allegheny County Homicide at 412-473-1300.
