The University of Pittsburgh School of Nursing held its 15th Annual “Cameos of Caring” Awards Gala honoring 73 nurses from participating health care facilities.
The School of Nursing developed the “Cameos of Caring” awards program in 1999 to celebrate the profession and to help alleviate the shortage of nurses by promoting nursing as a viable and rewarding career choice. With this year’s celebration, more than 750 nurses will have been recognized through this program.
The awardees are dedicated professionals who have set the standard for the nursing profession and continue to forge new frontiers in the delivery of quality patient care. Awardees are nominated by their peers at each participating hospital in recognition of their profound impact on the lives of patients, family members and co-workers.
