If you’re a Pittsburgher, then undoubtedly you’ve experienced the best breakfast in the 412 at one of P&G’s Pamela’s Diners locations… Well, Owners Pamela Cohen, Gail Klingensmith, along with Pamela’s sister Rise’ Cohen have a new baby named NU. NU is conveniently located next door to their Pamela’s location in Oakland.

NU: a Yiddish word that calls for a reply. It can mean “So”? “Huh”?
“Well”? “What’s up”? Or “Hello”? …………

As soon as you walk into NU, you’re overwhelmed by the sense of comfort with it soothing blue walls, and hard wood accents; you’re immediately energized with their bright lights, open kitchen and warm smiling staff. NU’s environment gives you a sense of family and home.

The menu, compiled by Chef Kelsey Sukel and Cohen’s sister Risé, uses Jewish ingredients in a modern way, resulting in a phenomenal twist on classic Jewish fare!
