Health and Wellness Weekend
SEPT. 13—State Rep. Jake Wheatley Jr. will host an Inaugural Health and Wellness Weekend. There will be a free family day at the Thelma Lovette YMCA. Also on Sept. 14 there will be an UPHill 5K from 9-11:30 a.m. and a Community Appreciation Day from 11:30 a.m.-6 p.m. at Kennard Field, with a job fair, step exhibition, live entertainment, line dancing, food and more. And on Sept. 15, from 1-5 p.m., there will be an H.E.A.L. event at the Thelma Lovette YMCA, with health screenings, cooking demonstrations, health jeopardy and more. SEPT. 15—The Tuskegee Airmen Memorial of the Greater Pittsburgh Region Inc. will host a Memorial Dedication to the Tuskegee Airmen at 2 p.m. at Sewickley Cemetery, 501 Hopkins St., Sewickley. This will be a dedication of the largest Tuskegee Airmen memorial. There will be music, recognition of approximately 100 Western Pennsylvania Tuskegee Airmen and free remote parking with a shuttle. In case of inclement weather, the dedication will be moved to the United Methodist Church of Sewickley.
