Jazz vocalist Jane Harvey dies at 88

by Derrick J. LangAP Entertainment Writer LOS ANGELES (AP) — Jane Harvey, the jazz vocalist who performed with the likes of Desi Arnaz, Duke Ellington and Benny Goodman, has died. She was 88. A spokesman for Harvey says the singer died Thursday at her home in Los Angeles after a battle with cancer.

Bolt completes golden hat-trick as Jamaica romps to sprint relay glory

The fastest man in the world charged clear of United States rival Justin Gatlin as the Jamaican quartet of Nesta Carter, Kemar Bailey-Cole, Nickel Ashmeade and Bolt won in 37.36 seconds.

Singer Chris Brown sentenced to 1,000 hours labor
