Sixth Mt. Zion Missionary Baptist Church held its 35th Annual Music Workshop Sunday July 28. The  event harmonically swooned the audience with mesmerizing and soul steering gospel hymnals, straight from the old south.

The concert choir was lead by Dr. Roland Martin Carter, who recently retired from the University of Tennessee at Chattanooga after 24 years of service. His accomplishments as a leading figure in the choral arts include lectures, workshops, master classes and concerts with major choruses and orchestras in prestigious venues nationwide.

Also as an extra added treat for gospel lovers, the incredibly talented Omar J. Dickenson served as guest conductor, putting the concert choir through a glorious pace of highs and lows. Stunning solos by Gayle Ross, Henry Biggs, James Hall and Constance Terry, gratified the audience to shouts of the Holy Spirit. Special appreciation was given to Carvis Fisher, Minister of Music at Sixth Mt. Zion Baptist Church, for his untiring contributions to the ministry.
