More steroid use suspensions expected following Braun

ALEX RODRIGUEZ (AP Photo/Kathy Willens) NEW YORK (AP)—Ryan Braun stood on a spring training field and proclaimed he was innocent of using banned testosterone. “I would bet my life,” he said back then, “that this substance never entered my body at any point.” Seventeen months later, he accepted a 65-game suspension from baseball and admitted, “I am not perfect. I realize now that I have made some mistakes. I am willing to accept the consequences of those actions.”

(AP Photo/City of Forney Police Department) FORNEY, Texas (AP) — George Zimmerman, the neighborhood watch volunteer who was cleared of all charges in the Florida shooting death of unarmed teenager Trayvon Martin, was stopped for speeding on a highway near Dallas, officials said Wednesday. Forney police stopped Zimmerman on Sunday as he drove west on U.S. 80, about 20 miles east of Dallas. A police dashcam video released Wednesday shows an officer interacting with Zimmerman and letting him go with a warning.

Rihanna wins case against UK retailer Topshop

High Court Justice Colin Birss ruled in favor of the singer on Wednesday, saying buyers were likely deceived by believing Rihanna had authorized its sale.



Free concerts offer cultural enrichment to city residents

Each series is sure to whet the appetite of all music lovers in the Pittsburgh area. “These concerts are a great way to provide no-cost access to the arts for families in the City, increase utilization in our parks, and to enhance the quality of life for our residents. We know that everyone cannot afford to go to places like the Opera or the Symphony, so our concerts allow people of all backgrounds and abilities access to the arts,” said Tim Ishman, assistant director Pittsburgh Parks and Recreation.
