Holy Convocation
AUG. 4—Pentecostal Temple COGIC, 6300 East Liberty Ave., East Liberty, will host its Annual Holy Convocation. The event, which will run through Aug. 10, will feature several guest preachers, local gospel acts and national recording artist JMOSS. Guest speakers will be Dr. A. First Sundays
AUG. 4—Tori Walker, Eric Blackwell and Grubz Restaurant will host the First Sundays Gospel Jazz Jam Session & Brunch from 1:30-4:30 p.m. at Cabaret Hall, 7928 Frankstown Ave., Homewood. Women’s Conference
AUG. 8—Renewed Destiny Kingdom Ministries will host the 2013 No Limits Women’s Conference at the DoubleTree Hotel, 340 Racetrack Rd., Washington, Pa. The weekend event will include pastor Lisa Brock, pastor Diane Hobson, pastor Cheryl Ruffin, Overseer Priscilla Dixon and Apostle Freda Thorpe. Back to School Revival
AUG. 9—Mount Carmel Baptist Church, 90 Port Perry Rd., North Versailles, will host its Back to School Youth Revival at 6:30 p.m. Minister Ronnell Hunt of Second Baptist Church, in New Castle, will bring the word, and Justin McCord, Heaven Pearls and the New Era Karar Dancers will be the featured entertainment. Celebrity Bowling Night
AUG. 16—The Central Development Corporation of Central Baptist Church, 2200 Wylie Ave., Hill District, will host its Celebrity Bowling Night at North Versailles Bowling Center, 356 Lincoln Highway, North Versailles. There will be bowling, urban style ballroom and line dancing, board games and more. Teams of four are welcomed. Registration is required by Aug. 2. Sweet Potato Festival
