Jazz Jam
    CJ’s Restaurant & Lounge presents “The Roger Humphries & RH Factor Jazz Jam Session” at 8 p.m. at 2901-2911 Penn Ave., Strip District. There will be live jazz and fun every Thursday night. Pittsburgh Improv Jam
    The Pittsburgh Cultural presents The Pittsburgh Improv Jam at 10 p.m. at the Cabaret at Theater Square, 655 Penn Ave., Cultural District. AIDA
    The Alumni Theater Company presents AIDA at 8 p.m. at the New Hazlett Theater, 6 Allegheny Square, North Side. This is a coming-of-age story of a Nubian princess and an Egyptian warrior forced to call upon tremendous bravery and dignity from deep within themselves. The performance will feature exquisite costumes and vocal performances, moving choreography and soulful characters. Performances will run through July 28. South Beach Party
    N-Motion Entertainment presents its Second Annual South Beach Party from 7 p.m.-1 a.m. at the Pittsburgh Center for the Arts, 6300 Fifth Ave., Pittsburgh. The evening will honor Donna Baxter, CEO of Soul Pitt Media; Dr. Nelson Harrison, founder of the Pittsburgh Jazz Network; and Pittsburgh Councilman Bill Peduto. Debbie Norrell, of the New Pittsburgh Courier, will be the mistress of ceremonies and national recording artist Eric Darius will be the featured entertainer. The attire is Cosmopolitan South Beach.
