(NNPA)—Alicia Boler-Davis was named by General Motors as senior vice president of global quality and global customer experience, the company announced Friday.

Boler-Davis, who has held various engineering and manufacturing leadership positions for GM, managed the customer experience division nationally for the company before her recent appointment.

She will report directly to chairman and CEO Dan Akerson in her new role, as well as serve on the company’s executive operations committee.

“Alicia Boler-Davis is a proven leader whose diverse experiences in manufacturing, product development and customer experience give her a unique insight into customer expectations,” Akerson said. “She will lead a companywide, global approach to infusing the voice of the customer into everything we do.”

Boler-Davis, who joined the company in 1994, earned a bachelor’s degree in chemical engineering from Northwestern University and a master’s degree in engineering from Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute.

Prior to her tenure with GM, she was plant manager of the Orion Assembly and Pontiac Stamping plants in Michigan.
