Job Interviews
JULY 2—Priority Two will host a Job Interview Workshop from 7-9 p.m. at North Way Community, 12121 Perry Highway, Wexford. Attendees will discover how to handle the tough interview questions and how to make one’s self stand out from the competition. Registration is required and the cost is $15. First Step
JULY 5—The University of Pittsburgh’s Institute for Entrepreneurial Excellence from 7:30-10 a.m. at Mervis Hall, Fifth Ave., Oakland. Brown Bag Lunch Series
JULY 10—Volunteers of America will host its Brown Bag Lunch Series from 12-1:30 p.m. at the Volunteers of America of Pennsylvania, 1650 Main St., Pittsburgh. Scot Teachout, of Sandler Training, will facilitate the “Break the Rules and Close More Sales” seminar that will help attendees to develop skills to move up to the next level or continue to perform at status quo. Quarterly Meeting
JULY 15—The Western Pennsylvania Minority Supplier Development Council will host the National Minority Supplier Development Council Quarterly Meeting at the Renaissance Hotel, 107 6th St, Downtown. First Step
JULY 17—Duquesne University’s Small Business Development Center will host the “First Step: Business Start-Up Essentials” workshop at Duquesne University, Rockwell Hall, 600 Forbes Ave., Uptown. Second Step
JULY 19—The University of Pittsburgh’s Institute for Entrepreneurial Excellence will host “The Second Step: Developing a Business Plan” from 7:30-10 a.m. at Mervis Hall, Roberto Clemente Dr., Oakland. Attendees will learn about operational and production planning, conducting market research and creating financial spreadsheets to attract funding for one’s business. Winning Sales Team
JULY 24—Sandler Training by Peak Performance Management will host a “Business Leaders Workshop: Developing and Growing a Winning Sales Team” from 11:30 a.m.-1:30 p.m. at the Hilton Garden Inn Southpointe, 1000 Corporate Dr., Cannonsburg.
