The Huffington Post says they were nearly knocked off our stilettos when they heard VH1 didn’t renew June Ambrose’s sassy docu-soap “Styled By June.”
Who doesn’t love watching fab makeovers of almost-forgotten stars like actor Jaleel White aka Steve Urkel and Danity Kane’s Aubrey O’Day?
Watching June whip them into shape with her renowned sartorial skills, some chicken soup for the fashionista’s soul and plenty of hilarious commentary was a weekly must-see. I love a good make over.
But never fear, Jay-Z’s here. The rapper-cum-mogul, who happens to be one of June’s A-list clients, has tapped the style architect for an original video series called “Style Boost with June Ambrose” on his Life+Times website.
And June’s in good company–she joins a growing lineup of shows that includes supermodel Jourdan Dunn’s “Well Dunn,” music journalist Shaheem Reid’s “The Roundup” and editor/author/TV producer Elliott Wilson’s “Truth.”
Renowned celebrity stylist and global fashion influencer June Ambrose always wears it well…and now she’s here to help you take your look to the next level.
In the premiere episode, June meets up with Joyce Wright, JAY Z’s Life+Time Internship contest winner, and uses her expert fashion sense to transform Joyce from retiree to a fashionable intern ready for anything.
You can see Life+Times on YouTube and big ups to Jay-Z for selecting a mature, full figured, retired woman as an intern in his office .
