SHIRLEY & BOB SMITH
The 2012 holidays are now a memory. But the crowd that attended the Emanon holiday party Dec. 9 will not forget the good time they had and will look forward to more fun times in the years to come.
Emanon has a great formula for a fun time, their ice breaker questions encourage strangers to get to know one another. If you are called to the microphone to tell a joke you better be prepared to make people laugh. Even if you don’t make people laugh they still give you a prize.
The menu at the Penn Hills Comfort Inn is always great and The Flo Wilson Band provided the soundtrack while everyone had a great time. In the tradition of Emanon each lady received a gift of a poinsettia as they left the party. It is safe to say that a good time was had by all.
The name Emanon was a popular song composed by John Birks “Dizzy” Gillespie, many years ago, when the letters of Emanon are arranged in reverse, they spell NONAME. This group of professional men borrowed the name and they are the second oldest Black Men’s social club in Pittsburgh.
