This week I visited Kenny’s Place in Uptown, Schenley Park in Oakland, Robert E. William’s Park in the Hill District, Shadow Lounge in East Liberty, Tim’s Bar in the Hill District and Pittsburgh’s National Night Out in Homewood.

My first stop was at Schenley Park in Oakland where the Community Empowerment Association held their 9th Annual Black Family Reunion featuring the Chi Lites and many other local artists from the Pittsburgh area.

My next stop was at Robert E. William’s Park in the Hill District where Penn State graduate “Nandi” celebrated her big day with family and friends and everyone had a great time.
My next stop was at the Shadow Lounge in East Liberty where JPBTV.COM held an event called “The Show” where artists performed. At the end of the night a video was made called “Get Dem J’s Up” featuring artists from everywhere.
My next stop was at Tim’s Bar in the Hill District where Genie celebrated her birthday with family and friends.
My next stop was at Kenny’s Place in Uptown where everyone came out to get their karaoke on and sing the night away featuring DJ XMan on the 1’s and 2’s.
My next stop was at Pittsburgh’s National Night Out in Homewood where residents came together for a peaceful gathering featuring a DJ, games, food and fun.
My final destination was back at the Shadow Lounge in East Liberty where ProudToBeLocal.com and The Shadow Lounge held a “Stop The Violence” charity event featuring live performances from an all-star cast of Pittsburgh artists.
