Vacation Bible School

JUNE 27—Bethany Baptist Church, 7745 Tioga St., Homewood, will host its Vacation Bible School at 6 p.m. This is a family affair that will let one’s imagination soar. It will run through June 29. A light meal will be served at 5:30 p.m. For more information, call 412-242-3258.

Summer Revival

Youth Dinner Dance

JUNE 29—New Vision Community Church, 1620 Randolph Lane, Verona, will host its Youth Dinner Dance from 7-10 p.m. The theme is “Hollywood: Everyone is a ‘star’ in God’s eyes.” This is a dress to impress event with chaperones. For more information, call 412-241-6160.

Gospel Concert

JUNE 30—The Facelift Committee of Mt. Olive Baptist Church, 330 Fourth Ave., Rankin, will host a Gospel Concert at 6 p.m. The concert is to benefit the church and the proceeds will go towards the renovation and restoration of the church. Tickets are $15. For more information, call 412-271-0303.

First Sundays

JULY 1—Tori Walker and Eric Blackwell will host Sundays Gospel Jazz Jam Session at 4 p.m. at Cabaret Hall, 7928 Frankstown Ave., Homewood. The first Sunday of every month guests will have the opportunity to enjoy music from various artists. It can be gospel, secular, instrumental or poetry as long as it plants a positive seed. Holy Spirit Seminar

JULY 9—Greater Works Outreach, 301 College Park Dr., Monroeville, will host their Holy Spirit Seminar at 10 a.m. This weeklong seminar, which will run through July 14, will be a week of worship, anointing, teaching and personal ministry features. There will be several guest speakers, along with vacation Bible School and a youth conference. There will also be a 2 p.m. and 7 p.m. session. Registration is requested. Biblical Breakfast

Series

JULY 14—Trinity AME Church, 2700 Wylie Ave., Hill District, will host their 2012 Summer Biblical Breakfast Series from 9:30-10:30 a.m. The theme is “Love.” Every second Saturday of the month a guest preacher will bring a Word based on the theme. Dream Fest 2012
