MCG Jazz presents the Bob Mintzer Brazilian Big Band at 8 p.m. at the MCG Jazz Concert Hall, 1815 Metropolitan St., Manchester. The Kelly Strayhorn Theater presents “Poet in New York” by Pig Iron Theatre Company at 8 p.m. at 5941 Penn Ave., East Liberty.
