Romare Bearden exhibitions
The August Wilson Center presents two Romare Bearden exhibitions from 11 a.m.-6 p.m. at 980 Liberty Ave., Cultural District. The exhibit “From Process to Print Graphic Works by Romare Bearden” features 75 various prints by international artist Bearden. It will run through Sept. 12. The other exhibit, “Romare Bearden the Last Years Photographs by Frank Stewart” features photos that Stewart captured over the 13 years. There will be a Bearden Centennial Celebration from 2-8 p.m., which will include a lecture by Dr. Mary Schmidt Campbell and a discussion by Stewart. Also, on Sept 3.
