Judicial system needs a major overhaul

Dear Editor:

There is just no way around it, our police, judges, courts and system of justice are grossly flawed and need a major overhaul.

Compare the cases of Casey Anthony, Florida and Kiaira Pollard, Pittsburgh. Casey Anthony accused of killing her little 2-year-old daughter, the papers stated, “The government failed to establish how little Caylee died.” Ask me how I feel: Casey Anthony is guilty as sin of killing her daughter. She is getting away with murder.

Then we turn to the Kiaira Pollard case where her two sons died in fire and she was not home. She is being crucified, being charged with homicide, child endangerment, pretending a babysitter had left the children.

It was six months after little Caylee was reported missing that she was found. Miss Pollard left her children to go to work. Casey Anthony like Kiaira Pollard lied about leaving her daughter with a baby sitter. Anthony also lied about numerous other issues.

It is so, so sad that innocent children have lost their lives, but I must wonder why is there so much fall out over the Kiaira Pollard case when another woman (Casey Anthony) is walking away free as a bird.

Our laws should not read, be interpreted and be administered four and five different ways. If Casey Anthony was found not guilty, the same verdict and outcome should hold true for Kiaira Pollard.
