Softball Game

JULY 9—The Josh Gibson Foundation and Massaro Corporation will host its Annual Charity Softball Game from 10 a.m.-3 p.m. at Josh Gibson Field, 2217 Bedford Ave., Hill District. Black and White Reunion

Runway Show

JULY 10—Oasis Ministries Inc. will host a Vintage Vacation Fantasy Runway Show at 5 p.m. at the Double Tree Hotel, 106 Mall Blvd., Monroeville. Home Buying Workshop

JULY 11—The Pittsburgh Housing Development Association Inc. will host a First Time Home Buying Workshop at 6 p.m. at the Wilkinsburg Borough Building, 3rd floor, 605 Ross Ave., Wilkinsburg. Dollar Bank counselors will be in attendance to give information on credit counseling and restoration; grant money for closing cost; affordable mortgages and down payment options; and a free credit report evaluation. Adoption webinar

JULY 12—Adoptions From the Heart will host an Online Webinar on Adopting African-American Infants at 7 p.m. The webinar will focus on the urgent need for African-American applicants and their Domestic Adoption Program, which is open to couples and singles living in the United States and places African-American infants with families directly from the hospital. Community Concert

JULY 14—Urban Impact Pittsburgh will host a Community Concert at 7:30 p.m. at Mt. Lebanon United Presbyterian Church, 255 Washington Rd., Pittsburgh. The concert will feature the legendary bluegrass band The Del McCoury Band. The cost is $20 and proceeds will benefit the Urban Impact and the Brookline Christian Mentoring Program. Inaugural gathering

JULY 16—Grandmothers of Pearls will host its Inaugural Gathering from 3:30-6 p.m. at the Carnegie Library of Homewood, 7101 Hamilton Ave., Homewood. This is an organization to bring grandmothers together to motivate, encourage and fill their bellies and spirits. There will be speakers, trips and various events. Sports luncheon

JULY 22—The Pittsburgh Pirates from 11:30 a.m.-1:30 p.m. will host its 2011 African-American Heritage Day Sports Luncheon at PNC Park, Lexus Club, Federal St., North Shore. The keynote speaker for the event will be Herman Boone, whose inspirational story was captured in the Disney film “Remember the Titans.” He will be speaking on Lessons in Diversity. Tickets are $65. Class reunion
