Pastoral anniversary

JUNE 24—Jerusalem Baptist Church, 123 Steuben St., West End, will host its 1st Pastoral Anniversary Celebration of Rev. Theodore E. Pugh Sr. at 7 p.m. The theme for the celebration is “Still Preaching Jesus and Not Ourselves” and it will include Presiding Elder Brenda J. Gregg as the guest speaker. There will also be a service on June 26 at 11 a.m. with Rev. Andrew Cooper and at 4 p.m. with Pastor Michael E. Thomas and his congregation.

Prayer breakfast

JUNE 25–St. Paul AME Church, 400 Orchard Street, Beltzhoover, will host the Pittsburgh Conference Women’s Missionary Society’s Annual Prayer Breakfast at 9:00 a.m. The theme is “Pray One for Another.” Tickets are $30. For more information, call Stacy Williams at 412-431-2166.

Church anniversary

JUNE 25—First Baptist Church, 414 N. McDonald St., McDonald, will host its 125th Church Anniversary at 11 a.m. The celebration will begin with live music, line dancing with Roland Ford, an outdoor festival, food and more. On June 26 there will be a special Sunday morning worship service with Rev. Lance B. Whitlock, which will include a historical theatrical presentation. Also, at 3 p.m. there will be an anniversary banquet held at the Cornerstone at Tonidale with Christopher Clark as the Master of Ceremonies. Singles Café ministry

JUNE 25—The Singles Café will host their monthly Singles Café Ministry from 5:30-7:30 p.m. at Panera Bread, 5430 Centre Ave., Shadyside. This is a ministry for single men and women looking to be educated and empowered on how to establish and maintain healthy, Godly relationships through the Word of God. Taken & Shaken

JUNE 26—Greater Works Outreach, 301 College Dr., Monroeville, will host the Taken & Shaken: Turning Tragedy into Triumph message series at 9 a.m. The topic will be “Seize the Moment.” Every Sunday in June, the series will focus on various topics to help individuals cope with trials and tribulations. Calvary Baptist Church, 1150 Fourth Ave., New Kensington, will host a 50th Pastoral Anniversary Celebration of Pastor Asa Roberts Sr. at 10:30 a.m. The theme is “The Journey of a Faithful Pastor.” The anniversary message will be delivered by Rev. Delano Paige and a fellowship dinner will follow immediately after the morning service at 2 p.m. at the Alle-Kiski Senior Citizens Center, 1039 Third Ave., New Kensington.
