Fall concert

SEPT. 17—The Music Ministry of Solid Rock Church of God, 1400 Buena Vista St., North Side, will host their Fall Concert at 7 p.m. The featured entertainment will be With One Accord, Sis. Casting call

SEPT. 18—Covenanted Praise will host a Casting Call from 10 a.m.-4 p.m. at the Dance Alloy Theater, 5530 Penn Ave., East Liberty. This is a casting opportunity for the production of the Millennial King. Participants need to prepare a two-minute solo piece in either dance, drama or mime. Registration is requested. Fundraising gala

SEPT. 18—The First COGIC, 2502 Centre Ave., Hill District, will host a Silent Auction Fundraising Gala from 6-10 p.m. at Soldiers and Sailors Memorial Hall and Museum Grand Ballroom, 4141 Fifth Ave., Oakland. Choir day

SEPT. 19—Carrone Baptist Church, 7119 Frankstown Ave., Homewood, will host a Choir Day at 3 p.m. This is in celebration of their 125th anniversary. The theme is “Standing on the Promises.” There will be various choirs, soloists and performers to bring musical praise. There will be a light repast following the celebration. Women’s conference

SEPT. 23—Bidwell Presbyterian Church, 1025 Liverpool St., Manchester, will host the 2010 Women’s Conference at 7 p.m. The conference will run through Sept. 25 and feature evangelist Lisa Thorpe, Minister Adrienne Blanton and Rev. Bible conference

SEPT. 24—The Women In Christian Ministries Inc. will host a Bible Conference from 7-9 p.m. at Embassy Suites, 650 Cherrington Parkway, Coraopolis. This two-day conference will run through Sept. 25 and feature Minister Donna A. Baptiste, president and CEO of Donna Baptiste Ministries Inc. Prayer breakfast

OCT. 2—Garden City United Methodist Church, 500 Laurel Dr., Monroeville, will host Women’s Prayer Breakfast at 9 a.m. The theme is “Seeds, Time and Harvest.” Guests will be treated to a breakfast, songs and the guest speaker will be Yvonne E.
