This week I visited the August Wilson Center for African American Culture in Downtown Pittsburgh, Ammons Recreation Center in the Hill District, the Pittsburgh Center for the Arts in Shadyside, Mellon Park in East Liberty and the Shadow Lounge in East Liberty.

My first stop was at the August Wilson Center for African American Culture where 360 Entertainment presented the first Pittsburgh Citywide Talent Show. There is a lot of talent in the city and I have to congratulate all of the contestants. Congratulations to E-Young who won the big prize from 360 Entertainment.

The Shadow Lounge was in full effect at Gene Stovall’s event.

My next stop was at Ammons Recreation Center where the Francis Street reunion was held by the Francis Street Reunion Committee. All the old- timers came out to celebrate and reunite with friends and family. It was a great time for everyone.

My next stop was the Pittsburgh Center for the Arts where Charismatic Marketing, Inc. and VIP Entertainment held an event called “The Art of Luxury” where young Black professionals came out to get their party and drink on.

My next stop was Mellon Park in East Liberty where Mt. Ararat Baptist Church held their annual picnic for the community. Plenty of Pittsburghers came out to this event whether you were a member of Mt. Ararat Baptist or not. Line dancing and activities for the youth were the highlight of this event.

My final destination was the Shadow Lounge in East Liberty where Gene Stovall held an event called “IMPACT Music Series” featuring local artists from around the city.

You know Brotha Ash Productions has a REAL CONNECTION to the community. Send all your information to info@BrothaAshProductions.com and I’ll see you next week OUT AND ABOUT!!!

NOTE: Last week I posted a photo of Gerria Coffee and her friend stating she was at Jai Legacy’s “LUST” event, when in fact they were at the Pittsburgh Gallery Crawl featuring Eric Roberson. Please accept my sincere apology for any inconvenience this may have caused you.
