Lunchtime gospel series

MARCH 19—Reverend Deryck Tines will host a Lenten Lunchtime Gospel Series from 12:15-1 p.m. at 937 Liberty Ave., 3rd floor, Cultural District. Every Friday during the Lenten season Rev. Tines, with the help of Minister Del Fullum, will feature a range of Black gospel music. The event will run through April 2 and is free. Lunch will not be provided. ONEchurch

MARCH 21—ONEchurch will host a Service at 1 p.m. at 937 Liberty Ave., Cultural District. All month they will celebrate and acknowledge the women of God. This service will feature a Tag Team Preached Word by TanyaRae Berry and her mother. There will also be a ONE Night Revival at 6 p.m. with the Bishop Thelma Mitchell Ministries. International holiday

Financial seminar

MARCH 21—Greater Works Outreach, 301 College Park Dr., Monroeville, will host a Financial Seminar at 7 p.m. The theme is “Now is the Time for Financial Breakthrough.” The seminar will feature Pastor Gary Matrik and Sandy Kulkin, who will address individuals and business people while presenting biblically-based strategies for the challenging economy. Pastoral anniversary

MARCH 27—The Union Baptist Church of Swissvale, 2117 Collingwood Ave., Swissvale, will host a Pastoral Anniversary Banquet at 4 p.m. at the Second Baptist Church of Homestead Ministry Hall, 612 Coal Rd., West Mifflin. This is the first anniversary of Rev. Robert and Michele Tedder. The theme is “Leading with Courage.” The guest speaker will be Rev. George A. Williams. Tickets are $25 for adults and $15 for children 10 and under. There will also be an anniversary service March 28 at the church at 8 a.m., 11 a.m. and 4 p.m. The speakers will be Rev. anniversary

APRIL 15—Mount Carmel Baptist Church, 90 Port Perry Rd., North Versailles, will host a Pre-Pastoral Anniversary at 7 p.m. The anniversary is to celebrate 10 years under the leadership of Rev. Barbara A. Gunn. The theme is “Celebration of Love.” The anniversary will run through April 18. The guest preachers will be Rev. Thomas Holland and Rev. Michael Owens. Clothing drive

ONGOING—The Upper Room Pentecostal Holiness Ministry COGIC, 625 Wayne Ave., Ellwood City, will host a Clothing Distribution from 9 a.m.-12 p.m. The first and third Saturday of each month, the church will have a free clothing distribution for infants/toddlers, boys, girls and adults.  There will also be an Easter Community Dinner April 11 from 1-3 p.m. Call 724-891-2079 or visit http://www.aliquippacogicsaints.com.
