CAST—Cast of characters not in order: Alvin Thompson, (SWEETS); La Tosha Stanton, (Angel/Tiffany); Dashawn Schaeffer, (Lamarr Jr.); Dennis Wolford (Lil’ Doughie); Samual Lothard (Craig); Pastor Brian Edmonds (Pastor Edwards James); Teresa Hawthorne (Pastor Leila) and Gary White (Lamarr) performed in the play “Masquerade” at Macedonia Baptist Church in the Hill District Dec. 31. An aim of the play was to show that people in the church are not perfect, and that they must struggle to overcome their weaknesses with the help of the church and God.

Taizé service

JAN. 13—East Liberty Presbyterian Church, 116 S. Highland Ave., East Liberty, will host a Taizé service at 7 p.m. This hour-long service includes sung prayers, simple, beautiful music, a time of silence, spoken and silent prayers and an opportunity for individual prayer and anointing. Club One Sixteen

JAN. 13—East Liberty Presbyterian Church, 116 S. Highland Ave., East Liberty, will host their Club One Sixteen from 3:30-8 p.m. This is a program that encourages families and individuals of all ages to come together for fun, community, learning and worship. Winter revival

JAN. 19—Trinity AME Church, 2700 Wylie Ave., Hill District, will host their Winter Revival at 7 p.m. This will be a special healing service of praise and worship with guest preacher Rev. Barbara Gunn of Mt. Carmel Baptist Church in North Versailles. Musical guests will be DaMarra Underwood, The Haynes Family and Men and Women United for Christ. There will be a meal offered. Awareness concert

FEB. 7—The Pittsburgh AIDS Task Force will host a concert in Observance of National Black HIV/AIDS Awareness Day from 4-6 p.m. at Pentecostal Temple COGIC, 6300 East Liberty Blvd., East Liberty. Special guests include the Pittsburgh Gospel Choir, which performed at the G-20 Summit; the Mt. Ararat Baptist Church Mass Choir; and the All Nations Dance Company. Administrative ministry

ONGOING—Raynette will host an Administrative Ministry Workshop. The ministry is designed to help churches and faith-based organizations establish accounting systems.
