PRAYER BREAKFAST— Men gathered from across the city recently at a Prayer Breakfast at Christ Missionary Baptist Church in Homewood to help each other overcome barriers and to try to curtail the violence throughout the city. The title of the program was “Brothers Overcoming Barriers Prayer Breakfast.” The guest speaker was Elder George Yancey.

Taizé service

JAN. 6—East Liberty Presbyterian Church, 116 S. Highland Ave., East Liberty, will host a Taizé Service at 7 p.m. This hour-long service includes sung prayers, simple, beautiful music, a time of silence, spoken and silent prayers and opportunity for individual prayer and anointing. Bible study

JAN. 6—King of Kings Baptist Ministries, 5169 Broad St., Garfield, will host an Hour of Power Bible Study at 7:30 p.m. Every Wednesday individuals will be able to enjoy learning about the Lord and His Word. All are welcome. For more information, call 412-661-3550.

Bible school

Club One Sixteen

JAN. 13—East Liberty Presbyterian Church, 116 S. Highland Ave., East Liberty, will host their Club One Sixteen from 3:30-8 p.m. This is a program that encourages families and individuals of all ages to come together for fun, community, learning and worship. Administrative ministry

ONGOING—Raynette will host an Administrative Ministry Workshop. The ministry is designed to help churches and faith-based organizations establish accounting systems. After school

ONGOING—Pentecostal Temple COGIC, 6300 East Liberty Blvd., East Liberty, will host an After School Enrichment Program from 5-6:30 p.m. Every Tuesday and Thursday Kindergarten through High School students will receive tutoring services, homework assistance and education enrichment. ONGOING—Mount Ararat Baptist Church, 271 Paulson Ave., East Liberty, will host their “Saturday Night LIVE Service” from 7-8:30 p.m. Every Saturday night tune in and get the word either in person or listen online. ONE Church

ONGOING—ONE Church will host Sunday Services at 1 p.m. at 937 Liberty Ave., Downtown. Reverend Deryck Tines is the pastor. This is the service where everybody gathers as ONE in worship.
